Prayer Request & News Letter
Posted on Thursday, January 21, 2010 by Dwayne
Prayer Request:
Just recently my nanna(how do you spell that) had a stroke, while she was in Panama City. My mom has been down there for a week or so. Please pray for my mom and my nanna. Pray that my mom will have strength and that she will not be too stressed out, and pray that my nanna has a speedy recovery and that she makes it back to North Carolina Quickly.

Did I say we need prayer
Posted on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 by Dwayne
Please pray that God prepares both Sharon and I for travel. I have heard that it is always harder when you are abroad. It seems our lives are always busy, maybe it is more along the lines of “our priorities are scattered”. Pray that God helps us focus on what really matters, and that we allow him to work not “make” him work.

Trinity Baptist Church
Posted on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 by Dwayne
Sunday we were at Trinity Baptist Church, in Sand Springs, OK. It’s always good to take time out from one church group and see that God is moving all over the place. I don’t know if it is just me, but the less I see of the world the smaller my world becomes. I start thinking that maybe I am the only christian, maybe our church is the only church running the race. That was one of the beauty’s of this visit. Even though, I got to lead worship and share what God was doing in our lives, the best part was seeing another people group so excited about God’s work. If you are from TBC, let me thank you for giving me the opportunity to come and share.

Language
Posted on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 by Dwayne
Pray that God blesses us with language. Both Sharon and I know some Spanish and have taken several classes, but implementation is another thing. We both want to be fluent and feel like this is a great opportunity. We are asking for accelerated learning. That seems like a weird thing to do, but we know God is capable.

A Foundation
Posted on Saturday, March 21, 2009 by Dwayne
Pray that God lays a foundation for our family. That our relationship will grow in Him and that He will prepare us for this summer. Being in a foreign coutry can be a strain on your marraige so we need all the prayer we can get. We are asking that God will build a strong foundation for us and that we will not get consumed with “the work”, and remember our relationship with one another while we work.
